Obituary of Thomas Roy Pratten

It is with great sadness the family of Thomas (Tom) Roy Pratten and the MCL announces his passing on Sunday, August 25^th, 2019 after a brief illness. At the age of 74, Tom was the oldest living person with down syndrome in Ontario. He will be sadly missed by his brother and their wives Art and Barb; Bob and Carol. He will also be missed by his nieces, nephews and their families.

A friendly guy, Tom considered everyone he met in the community to be his friend; being accepted and liked was Tom’s quest. The most important person to Tom was the love of his life Jeanette. Mary Ann Strybosch ensured Tom led a meaningful like. He was a long-time resident of Middlesex Community Living.

We would also like to thank the paramedics, Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital and its wonderful staff who helped Tom during his final days. Your care and concern over Tom and his family’s comfort was very heartwarming.

Friends will be received at DENNING’S OF STRATHROY on Friday September 6^th, 2019 from 12 p.m. until the time of the Celebration of life at 1 p.m. Donations may be made to Middlesex Community Living and Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital.
