Obituary of Irwin Albert Shephard

With heavy hearts the family announces the peaceful passing of Irwin Albert Shephard at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital on July 31st, 2019 in his 74^th year. Left to mourn are his wife of 48 years Joy (née Stoner), children Carrie (George) Havaris, Mark (Paula) Shephard and Brian (Heidi) Shephard. Proud Papa of Marissa (his angel) and Loukas Havaris; Allison and Jocelyn Shephard; Matilda and Lochlan Shephard. Survived by his siblings Elaine (Gerry) Mathers, Raymond (Heather) Shephard, Wayne (the late Marlene) Shephard and Allan (Ethel) Shephard. Brother-in-law of Glen (the late Barb) Stoner, Wayne (Penny) Stoner and Norma (Vern) Huston. Irwin leaves behind many nieces, nephews and friends.

Predeceased by his parents Mervin and Marjorie Shephard and parents-in-law Ellis and Joyce Stoner.

Sincere thanks to Dr. Copeland, Phil, Stephanie and Jennifer for their wonderful care and visits.

In honouring Irwin’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Friends will be received at DENNING’S OF STRATHROY on Tuesday, August 6^th, 2019 from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.  followed by a private family service. In lieu of flowers, donations to the London Down Syndrome Association or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
