Marilyn, we are sorry to hear of Larrys passing, and If I maybe permitted, a short story about Larry,I got out of CB radio in the early 1980's,in the fall of 2013 I set up a radio shack and some of my old equipment,my first contact was 500 known as Charlie,well the first words out of his mouth was "your audio sucks"so I explained the situation to him and he was kind enough to help me set up the old kenwood radio to his satisfaction (in case you did not know Larry,he was very particular about how a radio should operate and sound on the air) We carried on a short conversation exchanged qth's etc.Well about 2 weeks later Larry paid me a visit to my home qth. We became radio buddies after that visit,and had many conversations on and off the radio.Larry was a stand up guy and you always new where you stood with him.73 500,you will be missed but not forgotten Barry Forsyth VA3BCF

Marilyn,we are so sorry to hear of the passing of Larry. He was such a great guy and wonderful friend. His knowledge in electronics ,I envied from the day we first met 46 years ago. I have many great memories of the times we spent in person and talking on the radio over the years. As you know Larry was known by many different handles ,such as Charlie Brown, Old 500, 5 Zero Zero on the citizen band radio, and by his Amateur Radio call sign KE4KWI. Larry will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him as he touched the hearts of many. Marilyn Please Take Care.
