Obituary of Mary Anne Skinner
Quietly at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital on the morning of April 22nd, 2019, Mary Anne Skinner (nee Case), in her 75thyear, passed after a lengthy, brave and courageous battle with cancer. Mary Anne is predeceased by her husband of 52 years, George E. Skinner (2016). Mary Anne was the oldest child born to Levi Wesley Case (deceased 1966) and Jean Ellen Collins (deceased 2018). Mary Anne is survived by her two children, Jeanette (Stig) Jeppesen, granddaughter Karina (Eric) Proulx, and son, Doug (Tracey) Skinner, and grandsons, Danial and Noah. Predeceased by her infant grandson, Patrick (1995). Also survived by her youngest sister Ruth (Mike) Huston and brother-in-law, Tom (Peggy) Gregson. Predeceased by three siblings, Donna Gregson (2002), Shirley Gregory (2018) and Lorne Case (2008). She will be fondly remembered by her Skinner family, her many nieces, nephews, friends, relatives and as �Ma� of the McCoy Hunt Camp. Mary Anne was a RPN (1963 Graduate) and worked at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital until she retired in March, 1996. She was actively involved in the Skinner farm operation and their Pioneer Seed Sales Dealership for years. She loved the great outdoors, searching for morels, hunting, fishing and driving through the pasture counting cattle. Mary Anne found peace and solace in the bush, planting and nurturing her garden to preserve the fruits of her labour by canning and freezing it all. Farming, nursing, good friends and family were her life.
Friends and family may gather at Denning�s of Strathroyon Thursday, April 25th, 2019 from 3:00p.m. � 5:00p.m. and 7:00p.m. � 9:00 p.m.A Celebration of life will take place on Friday, April 26that 11:00a.m. Cremation to follow.
