Obituary of Mack Humphrey

Went home to be with his Lord and Saviour after a short illness in Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital on Saturday June 4, 2011. Leo "Mack" Humphrey of Strathroy in his 92nd year. Beloved husband of the late Eileen (Winter) Humphrey (1995). Dear father of Dan and his wife Janet Humphrey and Linda and her husband Ken Dowding all of Strathroy. Cherished grandfather of Darren (Andrea), Angie (Scott), Melanie (Derek), Andrea (Matt), Chad, Ian (Christin) and Miranda (Tom) and Great Papa of 9 great grandchildren. Mack is survived by his brother Elmer Humphrey of Wallaceburg and predeceased by many brothers and sisters. Mack fought for our freedom in WW ll originally with Kent Regiment of Chatham and later with the Highland Light Infantry based out of Brantford. Friends and family will be received at DENNING BROS. FUNERAL HOME , STRATHROY on Tuesday June 7, 2011 from 2 pm to 4 pm and 7 pm to 9 pm., where funeral service will be held on Wednesday June 8, 2011 at 11:00 am with Rev. Bruce Gibb officiating. Interment in Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Donations in memory of Mack to the Canadian Cancer Society or charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
