Obituary of Rita Lea

Peacefully with her family by her side on Friday, April 27, 2012 at Chateau Gardens, London, Rita Lewis Lea (nee Glidden) passed away at the age of 90. Beloved wife of the late Richard Leslie Lea (1976). Cherished mother of John and Carolyn Lea, Cathy Smith and Roy Warren, Michael and Nancy Lea all of London. Dearly missed "Nanny" of Stephanie, Jason, Brittany, Amy, Kelsey, Brandon, Connor, Bradley and Natalie. Dear sister of Gerry Latta and brother in law Raymond and her sister in law Pat Tatham. Predeceased by sisters Audrey Calder and her husband Bill, Betty Osborne and her husband Jack. Loved "Auntie" to many special nieces and nephews. Rita was a longtime retiree of CIBC. She taught us the meaning of "family". She was a devout Anglican. Thanks to the caring staff at Chateau Gardens and her special roommate Carolyn. We were all truly blessed by having a place in her life. Visitation will be held at Denning Bros. Funeral Home, Strathroy, on Sunday, April 29th from 3-6 pm where the funeral service will be held on Monday April 30th at 11:00 am with Rev. Karen Nelles officiating. Interment to follow in Strathroy Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to Parkinson Society Canada or the London Humane Society A tree will be planted as a living memorial to Rita.
