Obituary of Jack Campbell
It is with great sadness, surrounded by his family at LHSC-Victoria Campus, that we announce the passing of John "Jack" Campbell of Ailsa Craig, in his 81st year, on Monday, June 18, 2012. Beloved husband of Florence "Teada" (Siddall) for 59 years. Loving Dad of John (Paula) of New Jersey, Jo-Ann (Bill) McLinchey of Ailsa Craig and Jim (Duke) of New Jersey. Poppy, Buh or Pop to his grandchildren Lisa (Jeff), Michelle (Mike), Brittany (Jim); Billy (Lisa) and Katie (Ben); and James. Great Grandpa to Emma, Camden, Colten, Tyler and Brayden. Dear Brother and Brother-in-law of Mary McKenzie (late Stan), Verlyn Campbell (late Ray), Marg Bowra (late Bev) and Pat Gilmour (late George). Jack was the son of the late Duncan and Bernice Campbell (Priestley). Jack was a passionate, life long horseman; a well known member of the harness racing community. He also gathered a vast collection of friends in all areas of his interests. He was a long time member of the Ailsa Craig Masonic Lodge, Parkhill Eastern Star, and always happy to support with any volunteer work that was needed. Friends will be received at T. Stephenson and Son Funeral Home, 171 Ailsa Craig Main Street, Ailsa Craig, on Thursday from 4-8 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at the Ailsa Craig Recreation Centre, 155 AnnieAdaShipley, on Friday, June 22, 2012 at 11 a.m. with Rev. David Mitchell officiating. Private interment in Nairn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ailsa Craig United Church or Charity of Choice, in memory of Jack.
