Obituary of Fortner MacKinlay

On Wednesday July 18, 2012, (Campbell) Fortner MacKinlay of Strathroy passed away in his 67th year. Fortner will be sadly missed by his loving Partner Marie Richardson, his son Campbell MacKinlay, his daughter Anissa Harris (nee MacKinlay), their spouses Lori Anne Blessing and Greg Harris, and his grandchildren Percy, Ryder and Payton. He will also be missed by his close brother Don MacKinlay, Sue (wife), Don Jr. (nephew) and Nancy (niece). Strathroy will also feel the loss, as Fortner was an active member in the community through his dedication to charities, the town council, the local hospital and the legion. On top of the love he had for his family, Fortner loved 'his' Strathroy, 'his' golf and 'his' hockey. Visitation will be held Friday, July 20 from 2-4 p.m. & 7-9 pm at Denning Bros. Funeral Home, Strathroy where the funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, July 21, 2012 at 11:00 am, followed by a lunch at the Strathroy Legion. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Fortner are asked to consider the Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital.
