Obituary of Ethel Evoy
Ethel, daughter of the late Moses and Jenny Clark of Calgary Alberta passed away on Oct. 20th 2012 at 101 years of age. She was born on Dec. 27, 1910 in Calgary Alberta. Ethel was married to the late George Lovelace Evoy on July 10, 1943 in Brigden, Ontario. George predeceased Ethel on Aug.6th, 2007. Ethel resided in Canada for 30 years prior to moving to Atlanta, Georgia, USA. She was sister to the late Esther Clark Ewing. Ethel will be greatly missed by niece Margaret and her husband Walter Pauls of Collingwood, Ontario, and their three daughters Tammy, Kerrie, and Leeann, and their families. Also, she will be missed by niece Patricia and husband Jim Beaupit of Stoney Lake, Ontario, and George's niece Patricia and husband Dean Smith. Ethel was predeceased by brother and sisters in law Neil and Margaret McCahill of London, Ontario, and Jean Evoy of Strathroy, Ontario. Ethel was a member of The Women's Bible Class, Circle #2, of First Presbyterian Church, Atlanta GA, The Rabun Gap-Nacoochee Guild, Daughters of The Nile, Atlanta GA, Life Member of Scottish Rite Auxiliary of Atlanta GA, Past President of Lions Auxiliary of Atlanta GA, Member of Sherwood Forest Garden Club, and a long time member of First Presbyterian Church, Atlanta GA. Ethel worked for The AAA Atlanta Automobile Club South for many years. Her travels took her around the world. Ethel will be forever remembered for her loving and caring nature and for her devotion to her Church and her Church family. She was truly an angel of God. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church 152 Albert St. Strathroy, Ontario, on Sat. Oct. 27th at 1:00 pm. with Rev. Steve Boose officiating. In lieu of flowers donations in Ethel's memory to the charity of your choice would be appreciated. Interment will take place in the family plot Strathroy Cemetery. Denning Bros.
