Today, March 14, 2019 I went to your show at the library. I had shared that I wanted to buy a painting from you. Once I knew that you were too ill to come to the community dinners, I didn't want to bother you. My dream came true. You had mentioned "Abstract lady to me in discussion." You asked me what I could afford and I replied, "40. or 50." Well, I hope I can buy this painting that you suggested to me. Also, I contacted an old family friend, Mark Samuel whose family was into horse racing. I text him a photo of the "The Horse Race." In it the jockey wearing the red cap was usually the jockey of one of the Samuels.
I moved here not knowing too many people and your kindness over the two years was appreciated. I like the idea that you are painting angels in heaven. You inspired me to get back into painting after a 30 year break. Having Carr as a relation maybe to Emily Carr, I better get painting. I only painted a few oils that were meant to stay in the family. One was damaged and stolen, while the other one was sold without my permission. When I look at your work, it is worth so much more, but you painted for every one something that we could all afford. God bless you in heaven. I think if you had a chance to paint after you became Christian there would have been more light in your work. Thank-you for sharing your work and being so generous to so many people. One thing is for sure, you had control over your work and what was to be done. I will be sure to learn that lesson for any future paintings I make. You want them to find a good home. I'm glad you found the best home in heaven on the other side of the rainbow. We miss not seeing you around town, at church, and at the community dinners.
