Obituary of David Bruce Fuller

David Bruce Fuller, age 77, passed away peacefully in hospital on January 18, 2026. David lived a life centered on family, hard work and simple joys.

David was a devoted husband, and a proud father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Barb, and celebrated 55 loving years of marriage.  As a father, he was steady and supportive, always present for his children, Jeff, Debbie and Pat, and deeply proud of the people they became. David is also survived by his sisters, Janet and Karen.

Like all grandpas, David always enjoyed spending time with his nine grandchildren - Zoey, Ethan, Austin, Teegan, Rorey, Jacob, Corbin, Tyson, and Ainsley.  He was also a proud great grandfather to Jasper and Kinsley.

Beyond family, David loved the art of cooking.  Whether he was in the garden growing it, on a lake catching it, or in the kitchen preparing it, David was in his element. He was also a skilled woodworker and over the years has furnished the homes of family and friends with cedar chests, bureaus, coffee tables, and more.  These hobbies brought him peace and fulfillment and reflected his appreciation for patience and creativity.

David will be remembered for his quiet strength, generosity, wit, and love for conversation.

David didn’t ask for much from life and he asked for the same after life.  In honour of his wishes, a Celebration of Life will take place in the warmer months. In lieu of flowers or other gifts of sympathy, the family welcomes you to donate to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Verspeeten Family Cancer Centre (London Health Sciences Foundation).
