Obituary of Helen Lorraine Wemp

 

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Helen Lorraine Wemp (Lee).

 

On Wednesday January, 14/2026 at London Health Sciences Centre–Victoria Hospital, Helen passed suddenly yet peacefully surrounded by her loved ones.

 

Helen was born in Lasalle, Quebec on January,16/1964 to Gordon and Aldis Lee. Helen graduated from Lasalle high school in 1982. She later went and moved to Brantford, Ontario in 1987. Helen had 2 children Jason, and Amber. In 1996 she settled down in Norwich where she would spend the majority of her life. In 2005 she met and later that same year married her loving and devoted husband Robert (Wemp) at Norwich United Church. Helen had many jobs over the years, most notably Helen enjoyed chatting with the regular customers during her 15 year job at Tim Hortons in Norwich. In 2021 Helen moved to London to be closer to her children as well as her grandchildren. Helen loved spending time with her many grandchildren, or watching one of her favourite TV shows.

 

Helen is survived by her loving husband of 20 years Robert Wemp, her two children Amber Smith (Trevor), Jason (Courtney) Green, as well as her three loving step-children; Kassie, Cody and Alysia Wemp and her brother Stephen (Laura) Lee, her "persons"; Tammy (Shannon) Harrison and Verity (Corey) Veltman and 8 grandchildren; Mya, Max, Melody, Milo, Kaden, Rowan, Xane and Lorenzo. Helen is predeceased in death by her parents Gordon, and Aldis Lee, her brother Andrew Lee and her two grandchildren, Marley and Sullivan.

 

Cremation has taken place. Visitation and Funeral service will be held at Norwich United Church, 80 Main Street West, Norwich, on January 24th 2026 starting at 10AM. Funeral service at 11am, with a small luncheon to follow. Rev. Janice Pow officiating.

 

Memorial donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
