Edward Daniel Frape
Edward Daniel Frape, born May 5, 1938, in Brighton England to his parents Albert and Gladys Frape.
Ed Served in the Household Cavalry from 1957-1961, before emigrating to Canada in the 1960’s with his wife Jean; the couple having one son Ian, born in 1967.
After eventually settling in Fergus, Ontario, Ed worked for the UCO – Co-Op as a feed Salesman before returning to work for the Toronto Transit Commission, finally retiring in the early 2000’s.
Ed spent the latter years residing alone in Campbelford, Ontario along with his cat Smokey. It was here that Ed formed a special bond with neighbor and eventual long-time friend Graham Wilson.
Ed passed away peacefully surrounded by family at Country Terrace, Komoka Ontario on January 5th, 2026.
He is survived by Ian and Abbie Frape,
his grandchildren Nicholas, Mackenzie, Lucas and Georgia and his great-grandchildren Owen and Liam.
A private family service will be held at a later date in Campbellford, Ontario.
