Obituary of Zelia Armas

It is with profound sadness the family announces the peaceful passing of Zelia Armas at Sprucedale Care Centre, on December 11, 2025, at the age of 88. Beloved wife of the late Jose Armas Sr. (1988). Loving mother the late Joe Jr. (2008), Roy (Carmen) Armas, Lawrence (Anna) Armas. Proud Avó of Pamela (Paul), Bradley (Ashley), Jason (Marlene), Ryan, Phillip, and Brittany. Avozinha of Sophia, Joshua, Adrian, Gabriel, Ayden, Mason, James, Skyla, and Noelle.

Predeceased by her siblings Virginio Sr., Maria, José, Angelo, Antonio, Ilda, Lourdes, Teresa, Angelo. Survived by her daughter-in-law Delia and by her sisters-in-law Eugenia and Leliana. Zelia will be sadly missed and always remembered by her many extended family, nieces, nephews and friends throughout her life.

Zelia was known for her exceptional baking skills and treasured family recipes, which brought joy to countless gatherings. She loved spending time with her family, sharing laughter over card games and enjoying a good game of bingo. Her warmth and love for these simple pleasures created lasting memories for all who knew her. Zelia’s family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the entire care team at Sprucedale Care Centre for their kindness and compassionate care during her time there.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 14, 2025, from 3:00p.m.-7:00p.m. at DENNING’S OF STRATHROY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, December 15, 2025, at 11:00a.m. at All Saints Roman Catholic Church, Strathroy. Interment to follow at All Saints Cemetery. Reception will follow interment at All Saints Church, Hall.As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the ALS Society or the Kidney Foundation.
