Obituary of Emmanuel Mota

It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Emmanuel “Manny” Mota, age 62, on October 19, 2025.

Manny was the beloved husband of April and proud father of Emma. He was a devoted son to Maria and the late Maciel, and a cherished brother to Walter (Liz), Macie, and Annie (Mario). He was also a loving uncle to Dylan, Dante, Alex, Jordan, and Destiny. Manny’s warmth and humour touched the lives of many extended family members and friends, all of whom will miss him deeply.

Manny had a gift for fixing anything with wheels—especially trucks—and a passion for scary movies, classic rock, and a cold beer on a warm day. He found joy in cooking Portuguese meals, barbequing for loved ones, and spending time outdoors doing yard work. His loyal dog Benny was never far from his side.

Known for his quick wit and infectious laughter, Manny had a way of lifting spirits even on the darkest days. The world feels a little quieter without his jokes, but our hearts are forever louder with his love.

As per Manny’s wishes cremation has taken place.
