Obituary of Anne Marie Cochrane
Anne Cochrane, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 11, 2025, at Strathroy General Hospital.
She was the devoted wife of the late Stephen Gordon Cochrane, who passed away in 2021. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.
She leaves behind her loving daughters, Allison Cochrane (Sean) and Lindsay (Carl) Linker, and will be forever adored by her grandchildren: Anika, Ash, Owen, Akira, Olivia, Talia, Lege, and her great-grandchild, late Ian — the lights of her life.
Anne was a dear sister to Peter (Kathy), and a caring sister-in-law to Mike, Marian, Laura, and Maureen (David). She was predeceased by her parents and is now reunited with them in peace.
She will be deeply missed by her many nieces and nephews, who brought her great joy.
She enjoyed vacationing with dear friends and family — especially Roger & Linda, Mary, and the late Ed — creating joyful memories that she carried with her throughout her life. She shared a close bond with her brother, and in-laws, who provided her with unwavering love and support, especially after the loss of her husband.
Anne took great pride in her work as an ECG technician at University Hospital. She also had a lifelong love of the arts — photography and watercolour painting brought her joy and allowed her to express the beauty she saw in the world. Whether capturing a perfect moment through the lens or bringing a quiet scene to life with a brushstroke, she found peace and fulfillment in her creative pursuits.
In her later years, Anne lived with Alzheimer’s disease, a journey she faced with remarkable grace. Even as her memory faded, her spirit remained bright — she was often blissfully unaware of the challenges around her, and she continued to laugh, joke, and find joy in the little things. Her playful sense of humor and easy laughter were gifts to everyone around her and a true reflection of the light she brought into the world.
A visitation will be held at Denning’s of Strathroy on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, from 12pm until the time of Funeral Service at 1pm, followed by a luncheon in the Caradoc Room. An interment will take place following the lunch, at All Saints Catholic Cemetery.
