Obituary of Isabella Hillis

Isabella Hillis, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on August 11, 2025, at the remarkable age of 103.

Born in Glasgow, Scotland, Isabella was the cherished daughter of Johann Williamson of Glasgow, Scotland and William Shaw Williamson of Coatbridge, Lanarkshire, Scotland.
She was predeceased by her loving husband, Hugh Hillis, with whom she shared a life full of devotion and family.

Isabella’s legacy lives on through her children: Joan (Bill) Miniotas, Nancy Cobban, Billy (Marg) Hillis, Hugh (Pam) Hillis, and Ian (Mariana) Hillis. She was a proud grandmother to 13 grandchildren, a joyful great-grandmother to 31, and a doting great-great-grandmother to 4.

Her life was marked by resilience, warmth, and an unwavering love for her family. Isabella will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
 

As per Isabella’s wishes cremation has taken place.
