Obituary of Olga Anderson

Olga Anderson (née Kohut) passed peacefully at Sprucedale Care Centre in Strathroy, Ontario, on June 30, 2025, at the age of 89, with her loving family by her side.

Formerly of London, Ontario, Olga was predeceased by her beloved parents, Peter and Pauline Kohut, and her cherished siblings: Mary (Bernard) Pott, Anne (Andrew) Mandzuk, Helen (Al) Balazs, Paul (Anne) Kohut, and Daniel (Stephanie) Kohut.

She is lovingly remembered by her surviving brothers: John (Joyce) Kohut, William (Elsie) Kohut, and Michael (Lorraine, predeceased) Kohut. Olga will be deeply missed by her many nieces, nephews, and their families, all of whom were touched by her warmth, kindness, and enduring spirit.

Olga left her home in Manitoba at an early age to live in Aylmer, Ontario on a family tobacco farm. Years later, Olga moved to London, Ontario where she spent a number of years as a hair stylist and assembled telephones at Northern Telecom.

Olga found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved butterflies, the colour blue and being with her dog “Sam”, the love of her life. Olga treasured her time at the cottage on Lake Dubois, surrounded by the laughter and love of her family. These moments brought her peace and happiness, and they will be fondly remembered by all who shared them with her.

Olga enjoyed travelling with family and friends; along with quilting, kayaking, baking, playing cribbage, bingo and going to casinos. “The Young and the Restless” was her favorite television show, Olga’s choice of music was a mixture of country and symphony.

As per Olga’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Interment to follow with a private family gathering at Forest Lawn Cemetery, London, Ontario.

A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, August 23^rd 2025 at 2:00pm at DENNING’S OF STRATHROY.
