Obituary of Claude Joseph Jean Turenne

Unexpectedly but peacefully at home on May 16, 2025, Joseph Jean Claude Turenne passed away at the age of 80. Loving husband of the late Sherron Turenne. Proud father of Dan (Kimberly) Turenne, Tim (Michelle) Kettler, Ernie Kettler, Karl (Mary) Kettler, Peter (the late Claudia) Kettler, Denise (Kevin Robinson) Kettler, John (Corrine) Kettler, and Stephen Kettler. Cherished Grandpa of 21 grandchildren, including the late Ryan Noble, and the late Erik Kettler.  Adored great-grandpa of 30 great-grandkids. Son of the late Julien Turenne (1922-1954) born in Alban Ontario and Rita Dupuis (1928-1997) born in Noelville Ontario, Stepson of the late Henry Porlier (1916-1990) born in Bigwood Ontario, brother of the late Robert (the late Patrica, Pam) Turenne.

Survived by his siblings Claudette (the late Larry) Therrien, Denis (Lorraine) Turenne, Annette (Werner) Dressler, Gaston Turenne, Richard (Janis) Turenne, and Lynne Porlier.

Claude was born February 23, 1945, in Parry Sound Ontario. He lived an exciting and full life. He loved fishing and spending time outdoors. Feeding the animals around his home became a beloved hobby in his later years. Claude was a big fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Toronto Bluejays, rarely missing a game. Claude will be remembered for his big heart, his forgiving nature and his ability to always find the silver lining in life. He will be forever loved and missed by all who knew him.

Cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held on May 31^st at 11:00am, location will be at the Strathroy Municipal Cemetery.
