Great grandfather of Silas, Foxx and Killian Schepers, and proud uncle of 8 nieces and nephews (one pre-deceased) and 17 great nieces and nephews.

Avery is survived by his sister Karen Gardner (late Don Gardner), brother Brian (Rosemarie) Colledge, and sister-in-law Marlene Colledge (late David Colledge, brother) and also predeceased by his sister Arlene (Colledge) Kelly and husband Bill Kelly.
