MEYERING, HENDRIKA (Riek)

NOTICE:  Address Changed.  Hendrika is now living with Jesus in glory!

On Feb 6, 2025, Hendrika heard Jesus calling her and leading her home, as all her children and spouses surrounded her, singing,   The Victory In Jesus!

Up until the end, Mom (Oma) maintained her kindness, grace, compassion and love for her family and friends.  If one word were to describe Mom, it would be Thankful!  No matter where her life journey took her, she always found so much to be thankful for.  She knew she was a child of God, and lived trusting Him for all things.

Hendrika was the loving wife of Hendrik (Henk) for nearly 67 years(2021).

She was a cherished Mom to Margaret Meyering, Grace (Melvin) Zietsma,

John (Jackie) Meyering, Jane (Bob) Richardson and Martha (John) Kok.

Riek was a much loved and special Oma to Christa (Patrick), Erica (Dan), Karen (Matt), Kathryn (Dan);

Susie (Andrew), Amanda (Alex), Shawn (Carlie), Lisa; Kayla, Julie, Danielle (James);

Deanna (Kevin), Brandon (Elissa), Tyler (Jessica), Jordan (Courtney).

And how she loved her 32 great grandkids!  She was so welcoming and enjoyed them so much!

Riek is survived by 6 brothers and 1 sister in the Netherlands.  She was predeceased by 3 sisters.

The celebration service will be held at the East Christian Reformed Church, Tuesday, February 11, 2025.

Visitation to be held from 12:00 p.m. with service to begin at 1:00 p.m. Pastor Peter Hoytema will be officiating.
Donations may be made to World Renew in memory of Hendrika.
