I am so sorry to hear of Kevin’s passing. I was one of his original workers at Siskind. Kevin was always the kind one. Never demanding anything and always appreciative of what you gave him. Annie and Hank, you were my favourite parents ever, and I have met lots of great parents in both Chatham and Windsor. The way you always stopped by and always cared about your son as well as everyone else. The other kids in the house and the staff adored you. My deepest condolences and hugs to you and your family. Dear Annie, Hank and family,
Nancy shared Kevin's obituary this week. I am in tears after watching all those lovely photos from Kevin's growing up years. It was such a pleasure to care for him and ensure that Kevin's daily life could be the best that we could make it when he came to live in Chatham. For me personally that was from 1984-88 when he was still young. Yet I have never forgotten all those precious years even after I moved back to BC in 1992 and raised my own sons. I often wondered how Kevin was doing. So seeing these photos just bring back memories as fresh as it was yesterday to hold and care for him and create as much fun as we could muster, even in the days that were so hard for him. I would be there in a heartbeat for the service yet I will be thinking of you all this week and onward. Rest easy Kevin.
