Obituary of Kenneth George Feke

Feke, Kenneth George

Peacefully and surrounded by family, Kenneth George Feke in his 77th year, passed away on January 29, 2025 at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital. Survived by his wonder woman wife of 48 years, Doreen Feke (Siddall). Loving father to David Micheal and his wife Heather and Valerie Anne and her husband Jay. Dearest 'grandpa in a box' to Silas, Avery and Vaughn. Ken was the son of Frank and Anne Feke, Son in law to David (2023) and Betty Siddall, Brother to Willie and Linda Feke, Anne-Marie and Ed Rychel and Nancy Feke. Brother-in-Law to Darlene Siddall, Denise Siddall, Dana-Lynn and Tony Vella, Dawn Siddall and Willy Roder. Predeceased by brother-in-law Dwain Siddall (1971). Uncle to Dannie (2024) and Connie, Shannon, Ian, Adam and Jennifer, and Aaron. Special friend to Jerry Hunter of more than 70 years. Kenny will be missed by his 'girlfriend' Emma and her mom, Jennifer Smith and many more extended family, friends and neighbours.

Besides being the guy with the outstanding moustache, he was kind and genuine who loved life's simple pleasures. He was known for his perfect penmanship and caring words. A homemade plate of liver and onions left him speechless. He was an observer and would wait for the perfect moment to insert his quick wit into deep conversations.  He loved creating a special masterpiece out of his pile of scrap wood or just tinker on one of his brilliant ideas.  He loved his grandkids where distance did not stop him from connecting and each conversation brought so much laughter and surprise. Ken battled many illnesses after retiring from the farm, but he forged ahead with sheer determination and was thankful for each and every day he was given. He will be sorely missed.

Special thanks to his care team Phil, Jared, Daniel, Dr. Leger, Dr. Breadner, LHSC Cancer Center staff, SMGH floor staff with an extra special Thank You to Jen, and Cool Carol, who all made his battle more comfortable.

Family would appreciate a stop by the house to share memories of their husband and father.

Cremation has taken place. A private family interment will be celebrated in the spring. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to Canadian Blood Services, if able, or contributions to the Strathroy Hospice. Online memories or donations may be made at www.strathroyfuneralhome.com
