Obituary of Ronald Clark

Clark, Ronald John

Peacefully passed at his home on March 17th, 2018 surrounded by his loving family at the age of 77. Beloved husband of Cecelia for 57 years after love at first sight at age 13. Loving father of his three daughters Denise (Len) Bratko, Veronica (Bill) Vaughan and Louise (Ritch) Logan and his favourite son Tom (Gina) Clark. Proud grandpa of Laura, Christine, Janine, Heather, Ashley, Chris, and Nicole. Cherished great-grandpa of Liam, Callum, Austin, and Riley. Survived by his siblings Rick Clark, Marilyn Mclaughlin, Donna Thomas, and Don (Porky) Clark. Predeceased by his parents Jack Clark and Irene Durham and his siblings Bob Clark, George Clark and Merv Clark. Ron will be fondly remembered by nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Ron was a very devoted caregiver to Cecelia in her recent years, which was an inspiration to all, showing us what the true meaning of marriage is. Dad was a wonderful parent throughout his life and his legacy will continue on through his children. The Sergeant Major was retired after 23 years at the age of 39 with the Canadian Forces and a proud recipient of one of the longest standing pensions given. Ron reinvented himself every 5 years being a harness horse trainer, driver and owner. Ron then moved onto a short stint in satellite TV’s and from there to computer sales and service. He was then reconnected with his passion of violin playing, repairing and making of violins. Finally, his most rewarding and life-long passion was to be the best golfer he could be. Ron also loved cooking and having his many friends and family to dinner. He loved to have every new gadget for his passions which included golf, cooking, music, electronic devices etc etc etc. Ron stated in his last months that he lived his life to the fullest and did everything that he had ever wanted to accomplish. The family of Ron would like to thank the Strathroy Community Palliative Team and London Health Sciences Centre for their wonderful care and ongoing support of Ron and his family. A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, May 6th, 2018 at Ron’s home golf course, Oxbow Glen Golf Course (10761 Oxbow Drive, Komoka) from 1:00p.m. to 4:00p.m.
